Atlas grants regional exclusivity to a limited number of members per area. This is a deliberate choice. It means our members are never competing against each other — they are collaborating. When you refer business to a fellow Atlas member in another region, you know you are the only Atlas partner they have there.
If a region is already at capacity, we are honest about it. We would rather keep the network tight and trustworthy than grow it at the expense of the experience our existing members depend on.
Step 2: Financial Stability Screening via GraydonCreditsafe
Logistics runs on trust — but trust should always be backed by facts. That is why every applicant undergoes a thorough financial stability check through GraydonCreditsafe, one of the leading credit intelligence platforms in the world.
We look at:
- Credit scores and payment history
- Company financial health indicators
- Any signs of financial distress or irregularity
This step protects you. As an Atlas member, you are entitled to up to US$ 100,000 in financial coverage per year against unpaid invoices between members. That protection only holds its value if every company in the network is financially sound. We take that responsibility seriously.
Step 3: Reference Verification
Numbers tell part of the story. References tell the rest. Every applicant is asked to provide references from existing business partners, and we follow up on each one personally.
We want to know:
- Are they reliable and professional in their day-to-day operations?
- Do they communicate clearly and follow through on commitments?
- Are they the kind of partner you would want representing you on the other side of the world?
This is the most human part of our process — and in many ways, the most important. Freight forwarding is a relationship business. We are not just vetting companies; we are getting to know the people behind them.
